What to Expect
A family of believers in the Nixa, MO area
We hope that when you come through our doors, you feel right at home. You’ll be greeted and handed a bulletin with this weeks highlights and ongoing information. Feel free to sit anywhere – there’s no assigned seats. Service will last about an hour, including a 25-30 minute sermon, prayer, communion, singing, and public reading of scripture. We’ve also got an hour of various bible classes to choose from in betweeen services.
The Lord’s Supper
At Union Hill we believe the Lord’s Supper is central to our identity as Christ’s church. Therefore, we partake of communion every Sunday morning and make it available to those who missed during our evening service.
The dress at Union Hill is as diverse as our members. Our church family is much more concerned with quality of the heart than the impressiveness of the clothes.
Instruments
At Union Hill we sing Acapella (without instruments). We are a people who believe in simple worship in which we express our love for God as participants, not simply observers. The most important instrument we use is our hearts: Eph 5:19f Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
